Top Tip:

If you see a hotel in a brochure or a travel companies website you like, make a note of the name then search for the Hotels own website or email using the internet. You can then contact them directly, which will often be cheaper as your booking dosent have to pay the middleman too. Travel companies often say they can get cheaper rates as they block book, but those discounts only come if the travel company genuinely block books. The bottom line is if a hotel has space, it will always look to book!

Its always nicer dealing directly with the staff too - and they are more likely to look after you personally

And following on from before, find out the hotel, contact them directly and.........

Top Tip:

Ask them what is their preferred method of payment, and if there is a discount for paying cash. Cash for them means no Credit Card charges and *ahem* maybe a little tax avoidance, so a good deal could be on the cards. Also ask of there are improved rates for longer stays, or room upgrades. Remember, it costs nothing to ask!

Every buck you save on the hotel can be spent out and about!
