| When you open a jar of Italian pesto sauce, keep the jar topped up with olive oil. This makes it keep for longer and go further. |
As olive oil is one of the main ingredients anyway, it will not effect the flavour. On a similar vein....

| When you slice lemons or limes to put in a drink, cut a 'lid' from the fruit that you place back on the unused half. This keeps it fresh for longer. |
