Default Food in the Fridge

I was told a couple of sneaky tips for making sure different foods last when you put them in the fridge

Top Tip:
When you open a jar of Italian pesto sauce, keep the jar topped up with olive oil. This makes it keep for longer and go further.

As olive oil is one of the main ingredients anyway, it will not effect the flavour. On a similar vein....

Top Tip:
When you slice lemons or limes to put in a drink, cut a 'lid' from the fruit that you place back on the unused half. This keeps it fresh for longer.

Just right for making those gin and tonics, mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Grow leeks. They rock.
