Default The Basics! Need a driving licence??

Provisional licences are for people who want to learn to drive. Fundamentally you need to be 16 to apply, and 17 to actualy drive. Other than that you need to be able to see and control the car, if this means that you use glasses, or adaptions to a normal car for people with disabilities then that is of course absolutely fine.

Top Tip:

If you want to learn to drive, first enjoy the walk (probably one of the last you ever take!) to your nearest Post Office and ask for a D1 form. Also ask for a D750 form, this is for the photo driving licence application.

Drive carefully!

Along the same lines, you'll need to take a Theory Test, before you can drive.

Top Tip:

Your theory driving exam is easy to organise either call 0870 0101 372 with your credit/ debit card handy or book online at one of these websites: www.driving-tests.co.uk or www.motoring.gov.uk

And one more driving tip while I'm at it...

Top Tip:

You must have passed your theory test before applying for your practical test. Your certificate number will be required on your application so have it handy. Passed that already? Simply call 0870 0101 372 to arrange your practical test.

Top Tip:

A travel sickness pill may help calm your nerves...
